Preparing Your Fundraising Materials With Noch Consulting

Noch Consulting ยท Based on Joel Guerrero's advisory approach

You do not need a perfect package to start a conversation. Bring what you have, explain what is missing, and we can discuss the preparation your raise needs.

Before our first call

  • Your current pitch deck, even if it is an early draft.
  • A short note on the company, funding target, and timing.
  • Your latest revenue or usage, growth, burn, cash, and runway figures.
  • A cap table summary and previous funding history.
  • Feedback already received from investors.

If you are early in preparation, the consultation can help establish what to build first. The call provides an initial assessment; a full review is a separate scope of work.

The materials we review before introductions

We look for a readable pitch deck, a short company overview, a financial model with clear assumptions, a current cap table, supported traction metrics, and a use of funds connected to milestones.

The ask should make the intended round size and timing understandable. Discuss the appropriate financing structure with counsel. Information should be consistent across the deck, model, and ownership records.

Financial information and traction

For companies with revenue, bring historical monthly results and the operating metrics relevant to your business. Define the metrics and distinguish actual results from forecasts.

For pre-revenue companies, focus on current cash, planned spending, development milestones, and evidence behind demand assumptions. Pilots, letters of intent, usage, and early contracts need context about their status.

We can challenge assumptions and improve the investor presentation. Your accountant should validate historical financial and tax information where appropriate.

An organized data room

Prepare folders for company overview, financials, ownership, corporate records, intellectual property, team, commercial evidence, and material legal or regulatory information.

Use consistent names and current versions, assign one owner, and share access according to the seriousness of the investor conversation and sensitivity of the material. Counsel should check legal records and agreements.

What we can help build

Founders should bring the materials they have already developed. Depending on the engagement, we can agree additional paid support to build or improve decks, models, one-pagers, investor FAQs, use-of-funds presentations, and data room organization.

We establish what is included before beginning. The founder owns the underlying information; legal and accounting professionals handle the work that requires their expertise.

Start with a practical self-review

Our general fundraising readiness checklist covers the story, materials, traction, ownership, use of funds, investor fit, and data room. It is designed to help you identify what is ready and what needs attention.
